DI100-MP(GOST) - High speed, Tungsten Vanadium tool steel. Yet another variation on AISI T15 high speed tool steel theme. Well, may be variation is too strong of a word here, there is no Cobalt in R7M2F6-MP and it has half the Tungsten T15 has. Still, it is a highly wear resistant steel with high workign hardness. Lack of Cobalt would explain why working hardness is in ~65RHC range vs. 67-68HRC on Cobalt steels, on the other hand 64-65HRC is plenty hard and alloyed steel with this content will be difficult to sharpen for most of the people. Listed on several knife related forums as a good knife blade material, but so far I have not seen an actual knife made out of it. Should do well in light cutters with high abrasive wear resistance.
