9Cr14MoV(Ahonest Changjiang) - One more Chinese alloy, promoted for knives, used by Schrade and others. As data file says, it's a lower Chromium content version of 9Cr18MoV steel, although along with less Chromium, there's a considerable drop in Molybdenum, from ~1% to just 0.20%. That's 5 times less. Molybdenum is a strong carbide former, and I'd definitely want more than 0.20 in the alloy, granted there are no other carbide formers aside from Chromium.

Manufacturing Technology - Ingot

Country - China(CN)
