ASPX818(Erasteel) - Powder metallurgy stainless steel for cold work and plastic processing applications, where high corrosion and wear resistance are needed. Designed for use in Extrusion and injection toolings, screws, tips, moulds and barrels, etc. Basically, ASPX818 is rather wear resistant, stainless steel. It's stain resistance isn't as high as 18% may suggest, because of the 1.7% Carbon which bonds with a lot of Chromium, but still, it is classified as stainnless. I've seen a few custom knife makers asking about it, although it's a newer alloy, probably it'll take some time to get used more, but plenty of stainless steels in knives already with better wear resistance and toughness combination.
